Google Brings Search Profiles to India for Creators

Google has launched Search profiles in India, giving eligible creators a way to bring their presence across social media and content platforms into a single profile. People can then find that profile directly through Google Search and Discover.

The feature is designed to help creators connect their online identities, making it easier for audiences to discover their work across platforms. Creators can link eligible accounts, add social links and update their biographies. Google may then surface information from these profiles when people search for their names, giving creators a more consolidated presence in search results.

Search profiles are currently available in India, the United States and Canada. To qualify, creators must be at least 18 years old and have a minimum of 10,000 followers or subscribers on at least one supported platform. These include YouTube, Instagram, X and TikTok.

In addition to meeting the follower threshold, creators must ensure their content complies with Google’s policies. For creators in India, the rollout offers a simple way to strengthen discoverability and make it easier for audiences to find their work from one place.
