D.B. Corp Posts Rs 614 Crore Revenue in Q2 as Festive Calendar Shifts

D.B. Corp, publisher of Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar and Divya Marathi, reported consolidated revenue of Rs 614 crore for Q2 FY27, against Rs 635 crore a year earlier. Advertising revenue was Rs 411 crore (Rs 439 crore), and circulation revenue was Rs 116 crore (Rs 121 crore). Net profit stood at Rs 69 crore, down from Rs 93 crore, while EBITDA fell to Rs 124 crore from Rs 158 crore.

The company attributed the dip in advertising revenue and EBITDA to the Navratri festival moving from Q2 last year to Q3 this year. Excluding this effect, both advertising revenue and EBITDA grew in single digits on a like-to-like basis. Newsprint costs rose 14% during the quarter, driven by geopolitical uncertainties, and the company is focusing on cost optimisation, operational efficiencies and inventory management.

For H1 FY27, revenue rose to Rs 1,246 crore from Rs 1,222 crore. Advertising revenue grew to Rs 843 crore from Rs 832 crore, circulation revenue was Rs 236 crore (Rs 241 crore), and net profit was Rs 169 crore (Rs 174 crore). Managing Director Sudhir Agarwal said the company’s market presence and reader and advertiser relationships supported performance despite a below-normal monsoon in some regions, and expects the festive season to lift advertising momentum.

The digital business continued to grow, with the Dainik Bhaskar and Divya Bhaskar apps reaching nearly 18 million combined monthly active users in August 2026, according to Comscore. MY FM reported Q2 revenue of Rs 39 crore, against Rs 43 crore last year, while H1 radio revenue held steady at Rs 82 crore and EBITDA rose to Rs 26 crore.
