Only What’s Needed (OWN), the clean-label protein brand, has launched a campaign featuring its founder and health advocate Revant Himatsingka, better known online as FoodPharmer. The centrepiece is an ad film announcing that OWN is now available on Flipkart during the ongoing Big Billion Days sale.
The film opens in a college classroom with a professor who loves surprise tests. His quizzes are unusual: students are asked to explain why it is a “good morning” or to frame questions for answers he supplies. Tired of the constant testing, the class decides to challenge him and brings in FoodPharmer, whose reputation rests on scrutinising what goes into food products.
Turning the tables, FoodPharmer applies the same rigour to protein products. He walks viewers through the quality checks behind his own brand, OWN, before closing with a call to shop on Flipkart during Big Billion Days, with a chance to win three months’ worth of protein.
The idea works because it pairs a founder known for questioning brands with a premise built around testing, which gives OWN’s quality proposition a playful, relatable frame. The humorous classroom setting keeps the film engaging rather than preachy. The real test, however, will be recall. If viewers remember the brand’s quality credentials as clearly as the comic setup, the campaign will have done its job.
