Glance, the AI platform owned by InMobi, has partnered with Samsung Electronics to bring agentic AI-powered shopping to Samsung smart TVs across the United States, extending television’s role beyond passive content consumption.
The integration lets users explore products, build shopping lists and complete purchases directly from their TV screens, using either voice commands or a remote. Built on Samsung’s Tizen operating system, the experience will be compatible with smart TVs dating back to 2020 models, putting it within reach of millions of households.
The partnership signals a broader shift toward interactive, commerce-enabled viewing, where audiences can act on intent within the same screen where they consume content.
InMobi co-founder Abhay Singhal called the move a natural evolution of television’s influence on consumer behaviour, noting that AI is now closing the gap between inspiration and action by bringing content and commerce into the same moment. He added that the integration effectively transforms the television into an intelligent shopping destination on the largest screen in the home.
Maya Harris, Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at Samsung, said the company has long viewed the TV as more than an entertainment device, positioning it as the centerpiece of the home, and that Glance’s agentic shopping experience brings that vision to life through personalised, intelligent engagement.
The partnership builds on Samsung’s existing AI push, including its Vision AI initiative. Industry data shows roughly 55% of smart TVs sold in 2025 already included generative AI features, a trend expected to accelerate as manufacturers double down on AI-driven, connected home experiences.
