Parachute Advansed built its name on coconut-based hair oils, from Gold and Jasmine to Almond and Aloe Vera, and later stretched into body lotions and serums. In May 2026, Marico took it into shampoo, a category it pegs at over Rs 10,000 crore, growing 9-10% annually (Nielsen, December 2025). For a brand long associated with the step before the wash, it is a bold move into the wash itself.
The play is sharp. The range is built on “protein-loss prevention”, with coconut milk at the base and aloe vera, rosemary, amla, shikakai and almond in support. The formulations target hair damage, hair fall control and shine, wrapped in a familiar, natural-first promise that suits a brand already trusted on the oil shelf.
Then comes the scale. Eight variants launched together, in packs from 80 ml to 1.2 litres, including Re 1 sachets. The sachet earns trial, the big bottle earns loyalty, and distribution spans general trade, modern retail and e-commerce. Television, digital, regional campaigns and creator collaborations back it up. Ashish Goupal, CEO of Marico’s India Core Business, called it one of the company’s larger category expansions in recent years.
Parachute Advansed is no longer just the bottle you oil with on Sunday. It is aiming to be the whole routine, from the oil before the wash to the shampoo in it. Marico expects the range to contribute meaningfully to the brand’s growth over time, and a category growing at 9-10% a year gives it plenty of room to try.
