Johnson’s Baby Introduces Milk & Rice Range with India’s First ‘Food for Skin’ Baby Skincare Ritual

Johnson’s Baby, the world’s No.1 baby and childcare brand, has expanded its skincare portfolio with the launch of its new Milk & Rice Range, introducing what it calls the world’s first ‘Food for Skin Ritual’ for babies.

The Mumbai launch event, graced by brand ambassador and new mother Parineeti Chopra, brought together 30 mothers and their babies in a symbolic ceremony titled ‘Poshan ka Pehla Sparsh’. Drawing inspiration from the traditional Indian Annaprashan ceremony, the initiative reimagines a cultural milestone through the lens of early baby skincare.

The range is built around milk proteins and rice extracts – ingredients long trusted in Indian households for nourishment and gentle care. The portfolio includes a Nourishing Milk Soap, Milk & Rice Wash and Shampoo, Lotion, and Face & Body Cream, each offering up to 24-hour moisturisation while supporting a newborn’s delicate skin barrier.

Formulations are clinically proven mild, hypoallergenic, pH-balanced, and free from parabens, sulfates, phthalates, and dyes. Developed with paediatrician and dermatologist insights, the cleansers also remove up to 99.9% of germs while maintaining the skin’s natural moisture balance.

Dr. Dilip Tripathi, Head of Baby & Women’s Health R&D at Kenvue, noted that the range brings together generationally trusted ingredients with science-backed formulations designed for today’s more conscious parents.

The launch reflects Johnson’s Baby’s commitment to delivering gentle, ingredient-led babycare solutions that honour Indian traditions while meeting modern parenting standards.
