Kalyan Jewellers has unveiled its latest brand campaign, ‘Kalyan Bhava’, which reimagines the traditional Indian wedding blessing by extending it beyond the bride and groom to the families, relationships and futures that a marriage brings together. Built on the idea that Indian weddings are more than the union of two individuals, it carries a collective wish of happiness, prosperity and well-being.
While blessings such as ‘Sowbhagyawati Bhava’ and ‘Ayushman Bhava’ are directed at the bride and groom respectively, ‘Kalyan Bhava’, meaning ‘May all that is good be yours’, is meant for everyone involved. The multi-media campaign will roll out across platforms during the festive and wedding season.
The 105-second film features brand ambassador Amitabh Bachchan with Sreeleela in the national version and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the South regional versions. Set amid overgrown forest ruins, it follows a young girl who finds a golden bangle. Looking through it, guided by Bachchan as a mystical figure, she glimpses her future wedding amid family, music and celebration, before the film ends with a chorus of ‘Kalyan Bhava’.
Ramesh Kalyanaraman, Executive Director, Kalyan Jewellers, said a wedding is as much about heartfelt blessings as celebration, bringing two families and their dreams together. He called ‘Kalyan Bhava’ a natural expression of the brand’s purpose, a blessing built into its name. The campaign also showcases the signature Muhurat bridal collection of natural diamond and gemstone jewellery.
