Mogu Mogu Strengthens India Presence with Gen Z Campaign and Product Expansion

Thailand-origin beverage brand Mogu Mogu has launched its latest global campaign in India, marking one of its biggest growth initiatives in the market. Known for creating the “snackable drink” category through its unique combination of fruit juice and nata de coco, the brand is now targeting Gen Z consumers with a campaign built around relatable everyday experiences.

Titled “Wanna Skip? You Gotta Chew,” the campaign draws on the insight that while digital content can be skipped, muted, or blocked, awkward real-life situations cannot. Through humorous scenarios such as uncomfortable encounters with strangers, disappointing dates, and being the only single friend on a group trip, the campaign positions Mogu Mogu’s signature sip-and-chew experience as a light-hearted companion to life’s awkward moments.

Developed by Thailand-based beverage company SAPPE, the campaign is being launched simultaneously across more than 100 countries. In India, it will be promoted through YouTube, Instagram, influencer partnerships, and e-commerce activations, with the objective of reaching a large share of the country’s Gen Z audience.

The campaign also coincides with Mogu Mogu’s largest product expansion in India. In addition to its popular beverage range, which includes flavours such as Lychee, Strawberry, Grape, and Blackcurrant, the brand is introducing Mogu Mogu Candy and Mogu Mogu Ice Tea to broaden its presence beyond beverages.

According to Vikash Singhal, director and founder of Sunbeam Ventures, the brand’s distribution partner in India, the initiative combines digital-first storytelling with product innovation to strengthen consumer engagement and accelerate growth in the Indian market.
