Naukri has launched ‘Frankly Speaking’, a comedy-led content property featuring comedian Kaneez Surka that explores the unwritten realities of professional life. The first edition turns its attention to job interviews, a setting where candidates and recruiters often say one thing and mean another.
Surka plays a blunt HR professional across four short films, each built around a familiar hiring situation. The episodes cover salary negotiations, the gap between CVs and job descriptions, notice-period expectations and recruiter ghosting. These are moments that most jobseekers and hiring teams will recognise from their own experience.
The series uses humour to bring out frustrations felt on both sides of the table. Instead of lecturing, it holds up a mirror to everyday workplace behaviour, letting audiences laugh at situations that are usually awkward to talk about. Surka’s no-filter HR character becomes the vehicle for saying what is rarely said aloud in an interview room.
‘Frankly Speaking’ also marks Naukri’s move towards building a recurring content property around career and workplace experiences, going beyond one-off campaigns. Created in partnership with Zero Begins Films, the series is available across Naukri’s digital and social media platforms.
