Pears Takes Consumers Inside the Making of Its Transparent Bar in “Farak Clear Hai”

Pears, one of Hindustan Unilever Limited’s (HUL) most recognisable soap brands, has launched a new television campaign titled Farak Clear Hai, conceptualised by TBWA\Lintas (Omnicom Advertising India). The film takes viewers inside the factory process behind the brand’s iconic transparent amber bar.

For over two centuries, that transparency has been Pears’ most distinctive feature. The new film moves beyond the finished product to show how it’s made – following the transformation from a glycerin-rich liquid into its solid, see-through form through pouring, moulding, cutting, and quality checks. Made with 98% pure plant-based glycerin, the bar’s clarity is positioned as a visible marker of the precision and consistency the brand has maintained across generations.

The campaign is built on a core idea: Pears has nothing to hide. By opening up its factory process, the brand turns its long-standing transparency from a product trait into something consumers can actually witness.

Abhinav Ravikumar, CMO – Personal Care at HUL, said the film was designed to make visible the considered, generations-refined process behind the bar, showing the care and consistency that has helped make Pears an enduring, loved brand.

Sarvesh Raikar, President – Creative at TBWA\Lintas, said the idea was to let the product and its making tell the story themselves, turning transparency into the campaign’s central creative device rather than just a description of the bar.

Now live across television and Pears’ digital platforms, the film reframes over 200 years of brand heritage into tangible proof of its craftsmanship.
