Redcliffe Labs and Gautam Gambhir Call Out India’s Most Dangerous Health Habit

Redcliffe Labs has launched a nationwide preventive healthcare campaign titled ‘Thoda Gambhir Ho Jao’, featuring cricketer and coach Gautam Gambhir. The campaign takes direct aim at one of India’s most common yet overlooked health behaviours – the tendency to dismiss fatigue, normalise stress, ignore recurring symptoms and delay medical testing until conditions become significantly harder to manage.

Built around the dual meaning of Gambhir’s surname – which translates to ‘serious’ in Hindi – the campaign uses wordplay to deliver a message that is both culturally resonant and personally urgent: it is time to take your health seriously before it demands your attention.

The campaign highlights how everyday warning signals – persistent tiredness, sleep disruption, stress and recurring physical symptoms – are routinely brushed aside with the assumption that things will eventually improve on their own. Redcliffe Labs positions early, preventive testing as the antidote to this mindset, advocating timely action over reactive response.

Gautam Gambhir drew a direct parallel with cricket, noting that discipline and preparation matter most before the pressure moment arrives – and that health, like performance, requires the same proactive commitment. Dismissing warning signs, he said, only makes recovery harder.

Aditya Kandoi, speaking on behalf of Redcliffe Labs, emphasised that preventive healthcare must begin well before a diagnosis – with awareness, attentiveness and timely testing.

Conceptualised and directed in partnership with Red FM and RED MAX, the campaign will roll out across OTT, digital platforms, social media, influencer channels and offline touchpoints in Hindi, Marathi, Bengali and Gujarati.
