Reliance Brands has signed on to launch SKIMS in India, taking charge of the shapewear and apparel label’s retail and digital presence in the country. The rollout kicks off with flagship stores in Delhi and Mumbai, with plans to expand into additional cities over time.
Co-founded in 2019 by Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede, SKIMS has built its name on shapewear, underwear, loungewear and menswear designed around inclusivity and everyday comfort. India marks the brand’s latest stop in an aggressive international push that has already taken it into London and Dubai.
Isha Ambani, Director at Reliance Retail Ventures, framed the tie-up as a cultural fit as much as a commercial one, noting that SKIMS has reshaped global conversations around shape, comfort and inclusivity, and that the brand’s ethos aligns with what a new generation of Indian shoppers is looking for – fashion that feels both aspirational and personal. She added that Reliance is committed to building the brand in India for the long haul.
Kim Kardashian echoed that sentiment, pointing to the strong response from Indian fans ahead of the launch and calling the upcoming store openings a first-time moment for the community there.
Jens Grede, meanwhile, credited Reliance Brands’ track record of scaling major global fashion names in India as the reason behind the partnership, positioning the move as part of SKIMS’ broader retail expansion strategy worldwide.
The partnership adds another high-profile global label to Reliance’s fast-growing fashion portfolio in the country.
