Safed Detergent’s Durga Puja Film Turns a Mother’s Kindness into a Festive Message

Safed Detergent has released a new Durga Puja film that follows a mother shopping for her son. At a store, she notices a young boy serving tea and decides to buy him a kurta too. This small gesture becomes the heart of the story.

The film is built around the thought, “Kuch Daag Hatate Hai, Kuch Bhed Mitate Hai. Iss Tyohar Chalo Milkar Khushiyan Phelate Hai.” It draws a parallel between removing stains and breaking social barriers, suggesting that festive celebrations can also be about extending happiness to people outside one’s immediate family.

Motherhood is the lens through which the narrative explores equality and compassion. Rather than leaning on the traditional markers of the festive season, the film puts sharing and inclusion at the centre, showing a mother who sees every child with the same warmth and care.

Ritum Jain, director, Shantinath Detergents, said an unbiased mother is the truest reflection of Safed’s core values. According to him, she has the purest heart, one that looks beyond daag and bhed. He added that a mother’s kindness does not stop at her own family, and that the film celebrates this spirit while reminding everyone that the true joy of festivals lies in looking beyond differences and spreading happiness together.
