Samsung Electronics has announced a partnership with Google to bring Google Photos to Samsung smart TVs, transforming the television into a more personal and emotionally immersive experience. The collaboration aims to let users relive their favorite memories-ranging from travel highlights to everyday family moments-on a large, cinematic screen.

The integration is part of Samsung’s wider strategy to make televisions feel less like devices and more like meaningful companions in daily life. By allowing personal photo libraries to appear naturally within the TV interface, Samsung wants to turn living rooms into spaces where memories are rediscovered and shared.

With Google Photos on Samsung TVs, images captured on smartphones will seamlessly appear in high resolution on the big screen. Users will be able to explore curated memories organised by people, places and significant moments. The feature will also integrate with Samsung’s Vision AI Companion ecosystem, enabling personal content to surface contextually throughout the day.

Samsung says the experience will blend smoothly into everyday usage through features such as Daily+ and Daily Board, where photos may appear as part of daily routines-welcoming users with familiar moments. Setup is designed to be simple, requiring users to sign in with their Google Account to instantly access their photo collections.

The rollout will happen in stages. The first feature, Memories, will launch in early 2026 and remain exclusive to Samsung TVs for six months. Later in the year, Create with AI will allow users to remix photos using AI-powered templates, artistic styles and short video formats. A third feature, Personalized Results, will enable themed slideshows based on interests, events or destinations.

Together, Samsung and Google aim to redefine how families interact with personal memories, turning TVs into shared storytelling hubs at the heart of the home.
