Fresh off a playful cameo in Hyundai’s recent commercial, Shah Rukh Khan is back – this time fronting Google Gemini’s new brand campaign for India.

Rather than leaning on typical tech-ad tropes, the campaign places SRK in warm, everyday settings – lounging at home or chatting at a neighbourhood shop – to show how Gemini Live can solve real, relatable problems. In the first film, Gemini Live helps a woman turn years of classical Kathak training into a thriving home-based dance academy, opening a path to financial independence. The second follows a traditional shopkeeper reimagining old-school products for a younger audience, turning his store into a social media hit.
The campaign leans fully into SRK’s signature warmth and motivational charm, delivering lines that feel more like movie dialogue than ad copy. Paired with the nostalgic track “Mil Gaya Humko Saathi,” the films play out less like product pitches and more like emotional vignettes – designed to make AI feel approachable to everyday India.
Google backed the launch with large-scale outdoor visibility across Mumbai, including a striking takeover of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link featuring SRK alongside Gemini branding.
This marks a shift from Gemini’s earlier ad approach – nine short 20-second films focused on micro use-cases like exam prep and office tasks. With SRK now as the face, Google is betting on emotional connection to do what specs alone couldn’t: make AI feel less like technology, and more like a companion.
