Bengaluru-based fashion startup SNITCH has acquired affordable women’s western wear brand Berrylush, marking its entry into the women’s apparel market and expansion beyond its core menswear business.
The move was announced by SNITCH founder and CEO Siddharth Dungarwal on social media. The company will work with Berrylush co-founder Anusha Chandrashekar and her existing team to rebuild and relaunch the brand as “Berrylush 2.0,” with the transformation journey to be documented publicly across social platforms. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Rather than build a women’s fashion label from scratch, SNITCH opted to acquire an established brand with an existing customer base, product catalogue and category expertise – a faster route into a segment that involves more complex sizing, faster trend cycles and higher return rates than menswear.
Berrylush had shown early promise, turning a profit in FY22 and FY23, before slipping into losses in FY24 and FY25 as revenue declined nearly 11% year-on-year. The brand had raised close to $970,000 in funding across two rounds.
SNITCH, by contrast, has scaled rapidly, reporting FY25 revenue of ₹505.8 crore and unaudited FY26 revenue of ₹900 crore, growing around 80% year-on-year. It raised ₹278 crore in 2025 in a round led by 360 One Asset to fund offline expansion, and spent roughly ₹82.6 crore on marketing in FY25 alone.
The real test now lies in execution — whether SNITCH can scale Berrylush while preserving the brand identity that built its original customer base.
