Third Wave Coffee and Schweppes Just Made Summer’s Most Interesting Drink

Coffee and tonic water don’t sound like an obvious pairing. But Third Wave Coffee and Schweppes India are betting they should be – and this summer, they’ve launched a limited-edition espresso tonic range to make the case.

The collaboration brings together Third Wave Coffee’s specialty coffee credentials and Schweppes’ two-century-old legacy as a premium mixer brand. The result is three distinct drinks designed to reimagine how coffee is consumed during India’s hottest months.

The lineup covers three distinct flavour directions. The Espresso Turbo Tonic pairs bold espresso with citrusy sweet-tang notes and a minty finish. The Punchy Peach Espresso Tonic layers juicy peach over an espresso base, lifted with a squeeze of lime. The Citrus Crush Espresso Tonic blends orange and grapefruit with sparkling espresso for a vibrant, punchy kick. Each drink starts at INR 315 and is available across Third Wave Coffee cafés nationwide.

Rajat Luthra, CEO of Third Wave Coffee, described the collaboration as a natural extension of how café culture is evolving – consumers today seek discovery and elevation alongside comfort. “We wanted to reimagine how coffee can be enjoyed during summer by bringing together bold espresso notes with the crisp, lively character of sparkling mixers,” he said.

Sobhanjeet Rath, Senior Director of Marketing at Coca-Cola India, added that pairing Schweppes’ signature sparkle with specialty espresso opens an exciting new space for the brand.
