Truecaller Pulse: New Platform Turns Consumer Answers Into Ad-Ready Audiences

Truecaller Ads has rolled out Truecaller Pulse, a new declared-intent tool that lets advertisers build audience segments from responses consumers give directly through interactive ad formats, rather than relying purely on inferred behavioural data.

The platform runs on a three-stage model: it collects consumer responses via in-ad questions, analyses that input, and converts it into activation-ready audience segments. Truecaller positions it for use cases such as new product launches, category research, and campaigns aimed at winning over customers from competing brands.

The offering is structured around three output layers. Pulse Signals deliver declared responses in real time. Pulse Insights aggregate that data into broader intelligence – covering regional preferences, emerging product trends, and shifts within categories. Pulse Trends is pitched as an early-warning layer, surfacing changes in consumer sentiment before they show up in actual sales figures, feeding those learnings back into future campaign planning.

Hemant Arora, VP and global head of Truecaller Ads, said the platform gives marketers direct consumer answers at scale, arguing that when consumers state their preferences, media targeting gets sharper, campaigns run more efficiently, and marketing decisions overall improve.

Athul Prabhu, product director at Truecaller Ads, framed the tool’s value beyond immediate campaign use, noting that its intelligence layers are meant to inform not just targeting but ongoing brand and category strategy.

With Pulse, Truecaller is leaning further into first-party, consent-based data as a differentiator, positioning declared intent as a more precise alternative to behavioural inference for advertisers navigating a privacy-conscious ad landscape.
