Vivo has partnered with Andaz Delhi by Hyatt to launch ‘Switch Off’, a social experiment designed to encourage mindful, phone-free dining. The initiative, hosted at Soul Pantry within the hotel, reimagines mealtime as a space for real conversations and uninterrupted connections.

The concept is simple yet impactful. Guests are invited to place their phones in a wooden box at their table before heading to a live food station to create their own pizzas, flatbreads, salads, or burgers. A note reading “To the ones who chose this table” sets the tone, nudging diners to disconnect from screens and reconnect with each other.
As participants engage in hands-on cooking and conversation, the experience naturally fosters shared moments often lost to constant notifications. To further incentivise the behaviour, tables that remain phone-free for 30 minutes are rewarded with a complimentary dessert-turning mindful dining into a rewarding ritual.
Launched on April 16, 2026, Switch Off is designed as an ongoing concept rather than a one-time activation. It is also supported by a campaign film documenting real reactions, capturing how small behavioural nudges can lead to more meaningful interactions.
The initiative reflects a growing conversation around digital balance, positioning technology not as a distraction but as something to be used consciously. By bringing this idea to the dining table, Vivo and Andaz Delhi create a simple yet powerful reminder: some moments are best experienced fully present.
