‘Ye Toh Hona Hi Tha’: beYon’s First Festive Campaign Turns Desire Into a Chain Reaction

beYon, the laboratory-grown diamond jewellery brand from the House of Titan, has launched its first-ever festive campaign, ‘Ye Toh Hona Hi Tha’. Conceptualised by Chalk & Chini, the campaign encourages consumers to embrace their desire for jewellery without waiting for a special occasion or looking for a reason to justify the purchase.

Festivals such as Dussehra, Diwali, Pujo and Navratri give people the freedom to indulge in new clothes, sweets and celebrations, yet fine jewellery has long been tied to milestones, rituals and investment. beYon challenges this view, positioning jewellery as an expression of personal choice and spontaneous desire, with the thought, ‘this season, don’t resist the desire to adorn!’

The campaign stars Sheeba Chadha, Namita Dubey and Plabita Borthakur in light-hearted, slice-of-life films built around a visual ‘desire chain’. Set to the nostalgic track ‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’, the films draw on neighbourhood interactions and multigenerational family dynamics, using humour to show how one person’s love for sparkle can inspire others to indulge.

Shyamala Ramanan, Business Head, beYon – House of Titan, said the films capture a familiar moment when a sparkle catches your eye and the desire spreads to the person beside you. She added that laboratory-grown diamonds set in pure gold make giving in feel natural. Isha Sahu, Founder and Creative Director, Chalk & Chini, said the team chose a light-hearted, observational route that reflects how modern Indian families interact.
