Hygienic Research Institute (HRI), the beauty and personal care company behind Vasmol, Streax and Florozone, has unveiled a new corporate identity and logo, along with the tagline ‘Where Beauty Evolves’. The refresh marks a new phase in the company’s 70-year journey and reflects its growing presence across categories and markets in India and overseas.

Founded in 1957, HRI’s portfolio includes Vasmol, Florozone, Streax and Streax Professional, spanning hair colour, hair care, skincare and professional salon solutions. The company said the new identity reflects its focus on adapting to changing consumer needs while building on its existing brand portfolio and heritage.

Dheeraj Arora, managing director and CEO, HRI, said the refreshed identity celebrates the company’s legacy while reflecting its ambition to become more vibrant, progressive and future-ready, without losing the trust, values and brand equity built over seven decades. He noted that HRI has grown from a single-brand, single-category business into a multi-brand, multi-category organisation, and that the tagline marks the next chapter. It reflects a commitment to continuous innovation, anticipating consumer needs and creating solutions that empower individual expression through beauty.

The rebranding was developed in partnership with brand consultancy chlorophyll. Kiran Khalap, co-founder and managing director, chlorophyll brand & communications, said the process began with understanding HRI’s heritage, consumers, capabilities and future ambition. Through research, brand immersion and an outside-in perspective, the team identified a distinctive territory for the brand’s next chapter. He added that the result honours seven decades of equity while giving HRI a contemporary expression, capturing its ability to evolve with consumers and shape what’s next in beauty.
