Zydus Wellness has expanded its RiteBite Max Protein portfolio with the launch of ready-to-drink (RTD) protein shakes, protein bars, and protein chips, strengthening its presence in India’s fast-growing protein nutrition market.
Marking its entry into the RTD beverage segment, the company has introduced dairy-based protein shakes in two variants-Choco Burst and Berry Blush. Each 250 ml serving delivers 26 grams of protein and is designed for convenient, on-the-go consumption, targeting busy urban consumers.
In the snacking category, the brand has unveiled two distinct product lines catering to varied taste preferences. The first includes Roots Ghee Jaggery protein bars, which blend traditional Indian ingredients with whey and casein protein, offering 10 grams of protein and 4 grams of fibre per bar. The second introduces Korean-inspired protein chips in flavours like Hot Chilli, Barbeque, and Gochujang, delivering similar protein and fibre content per pack.
This expansion aligns with the company’s strategy to tap into India’s $10–12 billion protein market, which spans supplements and functional foods and continues to grow at a strong pace. According to Tarun Arora, protein consumption in India is moving from awareness to habitual intake, with product formats playing a crucial role in everyday adoption.
By combining traditional flavours with global snack trends, Zydus Wellness aims to cater to diverse consumer preferences while scaling its footprint across e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms nationwide.
