Anmol Biscuits Lets Audiences Feel Durga Puja Through Sound and Scent

Anmol Biscuits has released a new film, Ami Pujo Shuni, under its ongoing brand platform Har Pal Anmol. Conceptualised by Meraqi Digital, the film tells the story of Nirmal, a visually impaired man, and how he experiences Durga Puja through sounds, scents and everyday interactions rather than sight.

The film follows Nirmal through familiar festive moments, such as listening to Mahalaya on the radio and spending time with his friend Bishu. Instead of focusing on the visual spectacle of Pujo, it highlights the sensory and social side of the festival, showing how warmth and joy can be felt in many ways.

Aman Choudhary, executive director, marketing, Anmol Industries, said every celebration brings different challenges for different people, but the joy of being part of it belongs to everyone. Abhishek Kumar, marketing head, added that simple joys like a familiar voice, a friend nearby or a shared packet of biscuits are often taken for granted, yet they can mean a great deal, especially during festivals.

From Meraqi Digital, Aastha Jhunjhunwala said the team began by understanding what Pujo means to someone like Nirmal and the emotions he feels. Neelanjana Bhattacharya and Chandralika Chakraborty explained that the creative challenge was bringing his world to life without relying on visuals, using sounds, voices, scents and small moments of connection to let audiences experience Pujo through his perspective.
