Birla Opus Paints, part of Grasim Industries and the Aditya Birla Group, has launched a new campaign film for Birla Opus Style Color Smart, themed around “Naya Ghar”. Conceptualised by BBDO India, the film tells an emotional story of a family home and the bonds that keep growing even as children start building homes of their own.
The film follows a father overseeing the painting of his house ahead of his son’s wedding. As the house is transformed, the son gathers the courage to share that he plans to live separately with his wife after the wedding. Expecting resistance, he begins the conversation hesitantly, only for his father to respond with understanding and encouragement.
The father sees his son’s new house as an extension of the same family. He points to the Birla Opus Style Color Smart paint being used at home and says it will be enough for the new one too. The paint travels from one home to another, symbolising how relationships and memories connect families across spaces, while showcasing the product’s extra coverage benefit.
Inderpreet Singh, Head of Marketing, Birla Opus Paints, said the campaign shows the extra coverage in a warm, relatable way while celebrating new beginnings. Shashank Lanjekar, National Strategy Head, BBDO India, noted that nuclear households are rising in Tier 2 and 3 towns and are increasingly seen by parents as a sign of their children’s progress.
