Lenskart reports strong Q1 FY27 growth as international business accelerates

Lenskart has reported a strong first quarter of FY27, with revenue rising 33.6% year-on-year to ₹2,714 crore. EBITDA stood at ₹589 crore, translating into a 21.7% margin, while profit after tax surged 182% to ₹228 crore, a figure that stands out given it compares with ₹530 crore for the entire FY26.

International markets emerged as a key growth driver, with revenue up 38% during the quarter and EBITDA margin, excluding IndAS 116, crossing 10%. Owndays continued to strengthen its presence in Japan, while Meller’s Paris store saw strong customer demand. The brand is also preparing for its London expansion, targeting a global scale of around $70 million.

India delivered healthy momentum as well. Lenskart conducted 0.7 crore eye tests during the quarter, up 39.8%, while India same-store growth reached 18.3%. The company said more than 35,000 Indians are discovering their need for vision correction through Lenskart every day.

The quarter also marked a first, with product margin crossing 70%. Its smart eyewear initiative, B by Lenskart, has drawn over 80,000 sign-ups, with smart glasses now shipping regularly, while self-eye testing has entered pilot stores.

Looking ahead, Lenskart said technology remains central to expanding access to vision care, with the company betting on AI, eye-care data and smart glasses to build the infrastructure needed to scale vision correction access. The company said its focus remains on scaling this vision-care ecosystem while continuing to operate with a “Day Zero” mindset.
