Maaza Launches ‘Maaza Aamontron’ Pujo Installation in West Bengal

Maaza has created a festive installation inspired by the traditional mango leaf toran, or aamra pallav, used in Bengali homes on auspicious occasions. Titled ‘Maaza Aamontron’, the initiative is part of the brand’s Pujo activity in Bengal. It takes the form of a festive gateway, drawing on the belief that mango leaves symbolise auspicious beginnings and a warm welcome for visitors.

The installation is on display at Dum Dum Tarun Dal from October 14 to 20, 2026. The activation brings a familiar household tradition into a public Pujo setting, turning a doorway ritual into a shared experience for the wider community. The torans used are made from compostable material, adding a sustainability angle to the festive décor.

Sunainika Singh, senior director, Marketing – Nutrition, Coca-Cola India and Southwest Asia, said Pujo carries the essence of homecomings, community and the warmth with which Bengal welcomes everyone. She described the mango leaf toran as a beautiful expression of that spirit, marking new beginnings and inviting all who arrive. With Maaza Aamontron, she said, the brand wanted to bring this tradition onto the larger canvas of Pujo.

Singh added that the brand also explored how sustainable material innovation can be part of the festive experience, including the life of an installation beyond the celebrations. Maaza will extend the initiative further with a full-page invite in a regional newspaper in West Bengal, inviting readers to take part in the Pujo celebrations.
