Maggi has rolled out a new print campaign that keeps the focus squarely on its most iconic product – the noodles – but with a playful, sensory twist.
The ads lean on highly stylised close-up shots of freshly prepared Maggi, with the noodles taking centre stage against a warm, appetising backdrop. Rather than introducing a new product or leaning on functional messaging, the campaign relies on visual temptation and short, conversational copy to spark an immediate craving.
The first execution, titled ‘Whiff’, taps into the aroma of freshly cooked Maggi, using smell as the sensory trigger that kicks off the craving. The second, ‘Stare’, brings the product into tight focus with the line “Still staring, aren’t you?” – leaning on the idea that the visual appeal alone is enough to hold attention. The final execution, ‘Enjoy’, shows a fork lifting a generous bite of noodles, paired with the copy “Opened your mouth, haven’t you?” followed by “Go on, enjoy your Maggi!”
Together, the three executions build a simple sensory arc: smell it, look at it, eat it.
Notably, the campaign skips product demonstrations or messaging around ingredients, nutrition or variants altogether. Instead, it leans entirely on desire and familiarity – betting that a brand as recognisable as Maggi doesn’t need explaining. The logo sits quietly in the top-right corner, while the food imagery does all the selling.
It’s a classic food-advertising move: make the product look irresistible, and let consumers imagine themselves eating it.
