The News18 Rising Bharat Summit 2026 in New Delhi emerged as a significant platform for dialogue on India’s future, bringing together national leaders, global policymakers, industry experts and strategic thinkers. Held under the theme “Strength Within,” the two-day summit explored India’s growing global influence, economic transformation and its roadmap towards inclusive growth and self-reliance.

Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasised that India is rediscovering the pillars that once made it a major economic force-strong manufacturing, high-quality products and sound economic policies. He noted that the country’s progress is the result of sustained effort and collective resilience rather than sudden achievements. Highlighting technological transformation, Modi said that unlike earlier industrial revolutions where India was largely a follower, the nation is now actively shaping decisions in the era of Artificial Intelligence. He pointed to the country’s expanding AI startup ecosystem and growing investment in AI infrastructure.

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal spoke about India’s ambitions to expand exports, strengthen manufacturing and enhance its role in global supply chains. He also reiterated India’s commitment to constructive trade engagement with the United States while protecting national interests.

Technology and infrastructure also featured prominently in discussions. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stressed the importance of trust and adaptability in AI adoption, while Jyotiraditya Scindia outlined India’s vision to lead global 6G development through the Bharat 6G Alliance.

Global voices at the summit, including former Singapore foreign minister George Yeo and former UK defence chief General Nick Carter, highlighted India’s rising geopolitical and economic significance.

With participation from international leaders and industry experts, the summit reinforced India’s emergence as a confident democracy and an increasingly influential global power.
