Paisabazaar Brings Cricket Energy to Credit Scores – and Irfan Pathan Is Leading the Charge

Paisabazaar has launched a new integrated campaign for its Credit Premier League (CPL), featuring former Indian cricketer and commentator Irfan Pathan – and the premise is as clever as it is timely. By borrowing cricket’s competitive spirit and applying it to financial awareness, the campaign makes credit scores feel less like a chore and more like a game worth winning.

CPL is Paisabazaar’s flagship initiative designed to recognise and reward consumers with strong credit health while normalising conversations around financial responsibility. The latest edition raises the stakes significantly – the individual with the highest credit score in the country wins ₹1 lakh, state-level champions receive ₹10,000 each, and participants from the state with the highest average credit score are rewarded as well.

Conceptualised by Magic Circle and produced by Emotion Pictures, the high-energy campaign will be amplified across television, digital, and social media platforms.

Irfan Pathan captured the campaign’s spirit well: “Discipline, consistency and performance matter in cricket – and the same goes for your credit score. Hopefully, this encourages more Indians to track, understand and improve a score that truly matters.”

Santosh Agarwal, CEO of Paisabazaar, reinforced the intent: “With CPL, we bring together the energy of sport, entertainment and rewards to further scale credit awareness across the country.”

Consumers can participate by checking their free credit score through the Paisabazaar app. It’s free, it’s rewarding, and frankly – your credit score deserves as much attention as your fantasy cricket team.
