The event centred on dismantling persistent social stigma surrounding menstruation and fostering more open, inclusive conversations across families and institutions. Discussions examined the collective responsibility of brands, educational bodies, and individuals in improving awareness of and access to menstrual hygiene products. A significant focus was placed on the role men can play as active participants in normalising period conversations within Indian households.

The session featured Supriya Srinivasa, Marketing Director at Stayfree India, and Dr Vishal Tiwari, VP of Growth and Strategy at NBS, in conversation with Aditi Gupta, Co-Founder of Menstrupedia. The panel underscored the need for period discussions to move beyond hushed exchanges and into everyday family settings.

The occasion also spotlighted Stayfree’s ongoing ‘It’s Just a Period’ initiative, which has consistently worked to involve fathers and sons in menstrual health conversations. As part of the event, NBS students participated in a marketing challenge themed around male allyship in normalising periods at home, with three teams recognised for standout ideas.

The event additionally marked five years of partnership between Stayfree and Menstrupedia. Since 2020, the collaboration has encompassed teacher training programmes, distribution of educational materials, and school workshops across India – reflecting a sustained, ground-level commitment to cultural change around menstrual health.
