The ninth and final season of Koffee With Karan premieres on 14 October 2026 on The Peacock Hub on JioHotstar. The season brings the show’s 22-year run to a close and marks the first time NBCUniversal and JioHotstar have partnered around an Indian-produced show.
The Peacock Hub launched in India in 2023 and has so far focused on distributing and acquiring international content. Its catalogue includes Peacock Originals such as All Her Fault, PONIES, The Copenhagen Test and The Five Star Weekend, along with titles from Universal Studio Group, DreamWorks Animation, Universal Pictures, Focus Features, Sky and Bravo. The Koffee With Karan tie-up extends that relationship into locally produced programming.
Alok Jain, head of Hindi and English Entertainment Business (Streaming, TV and Studios) at JioStar, called it a significant moment for Indian IP, noting that this is the first time a global studio has partnered on a show rather than just its distribution. Host Karan Johar said the show began with coffee, honest conversation and a little indiscretion, and that the instinct has not changed, even as the audience has grown. He added that the show belongs to its viewers and now to the wider world too.
Chris Taylor, managing director, APAC, at NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution and International Networks and DTC, said the collaboration marks an exciting expansion beyond U.S. and U.K. content. He described the show’s distinctive format and perspective on the entertainment industry as the ideal fit for this first partnership.
