Aanandita Datta Joins Diageo India in Senior Marketing Role
Diageo India has announced the appointment of Aanandita Datta as its new Vice President – Marketing & Category Head. Datta brings with her extensive experience in brand strategy, marketing, and consumer engagement across multiple sectors.
Prior to this, she served as Chief Marketing Officer for Pizza Hut (Yum! Brands) in the Indian subcontinent, where she was responsible for driving brand transformation and widening the brand’s appeal among younger and more diverse audiences.
A Track Record Across Leading Global Brands
Datta began her career at Whirlpool India as Assistant Brand Manager – Food Stream Solutions, before moving to GSK Consumer Healthcare, where she managed key brands like Horlicks and later Sensodyne, rising to the role of Senior Brand Manager.
She then joined Unilever, starting as Marketing Manager for the Kissan brand. Her work there led to her promotion as Global Brand Director, overseeing global brand equity, purpose, and positioning across international markets.
Strategic Leadership at Diageo
At Diageo India, Datta is expected to lead marketing and category initiatives across the company’s premium beverage portfolio, bringing her consumer-centric approach and cross-industry expertise to elevate Diageo’s brand presence and market impact.
