Coca-Cola India has launched ‘Coca-Cola Halftime Surprise’, an AI-powered consumer engagement campaign developed in collaboration with Google and built on the Google Gemini platform – marking a significant step in the brand’s push toward interactive, technology-led marketing.
The campaign invites consumers to scan QR codes on select Coca-Cola packs, unlocking three distinct AI-led interactive journeys powered by Gemini’s Canvas feature. Themed around ‘Be a Rockstar’, ‘Be a Movie Star’, and ‘Travel Through Time’, each experience generates fully personalised visual content – including album covers, comic strips, and collage-style imagery – based on user selfies and creative prompts. Every interaction is designed to be unique, ensuring no two consumer experiences are identical.
Rooted in Coca-Cola’s global ‘Halftime’ platform, the campaign targets Gen Z consumers through gamified storytelling and self-expression tools that align with the generation’s visual, fluid approach to digital culture. Reward-based incentives including concert tickets, movie vouchers, and travel vouchers add an additional engagement layer.
Greishma Singh, Vice President of Marketing at Coca-Cola India and Southwest Asia, described the initiative as a reimagining of the classic Coke pause – transforming a simple pack scan into a moment of genuine personal discovery.
Shekar Khosla, VP Marketing at Google India, highlighted Gemini’s role as a creative companion that turns everyday moments into shareable expressions of individuality.
The campaign follows Coca-Cola’s Diwali-led AI activation, Festicons, reinforcing the brand’s growing commitment to AI-driven consumer experiences.
